Electrotherapy (electrotherapy) is a method that uses the action of electrical currents, electric, magnetic and electromagnetic fields of various characteristics with a therapeutic and prophylactic purpose.

Electrotherapy is one of the most extensive sections of physiotherapy.

In the human body, the tissues are conductors of the second kind, the current is the directed movement of electrically charged particles named ions. A current is called a constant when electric charges move only in one direction. The electric current, which is periodically interrupted, is called impulse current.

The price from 70 UAH.

Duration of the procedure is 10-20 minutes.

The course of treatment is 5-10 procedures.

Electrostimulation manifests itself in a number of effects that are used for medicinal purposes:

– dynamogenic effect is the ability to induce muscular activity by artificial means .It is used after prolonged immobility of muscles, after bone fractures, with muscle hypotrophy, weakness of sphincters, for posture correction, for obesity;
– vasomotor effect is the ability to cause reflex reactions that lead to the expansion of arterial vessels and precapillaries. At the same time activation of blood pushing through the veins occurs, venous and lymphatic drainage improves;
– hypotensive effect is the ability to reduce systemic blood pressure;
– An anesthetic effect – pains of traumatic, inflammatory, ischemic and spastic nature, pain associated with stimulation of the roots of the spinal cord and peripheral nerves are most effectively cured.

The shape and current parameters, as well as the localization of electrodes during electrical stimulation, are determined by the degree and nature of the lesion of the neuromuscular apparatus.

The patient should observe intensive, visible, but painless muscle contractions during the procedure. When performing electrical stimulation of weakened muscles, it is necessary that the patient during the procedure combine the action of the current with his strong-willed efforts aimed at performing muscle contraction – active-passive electrostimulation.

The duration of the procedure is individual.
The exposure to one zone can last from 5 to 15 minutes.
The total duration of the procedure does not exceed 30 minutes.
The procedures can be performed daily or every other day.
The course of treatment 5-10-15 procedures.
