Manual therapy
Manual therapy is a set of methods for diagnosis and treatment of musculoskeletal system diseases and internal organs (visceral action) which is based on the mechanical effects of the therapist’s hands.
Manual therapy is a set of manual techniques or exercises performed within the physiological limits of joint mobility in order to maintain the normal structure and function of the motor apparatus.
The price is 200 UAH.
Duration of the procedure is 15-60 minutes.
The course of treatment is 3-6 procedures.
Along with a therapeutic massage manual therapy is “as old as the world”. Since ancient times, the concept of “chiropractor” has come to us and it is known abroad as “chiropractor” or “osteopath”. To date, manual therapy is widely used in both official and non-traditional medicine. The methodology of manual therapy is based on the doctor’s understanding of pathological process essence, the ability to determine a degree of organic changes in motor segment.
The functional block (restriction of joint mobility) is not always necessary to be considered as a motivation for action, but as a motor compensation based on the cause of a disease. Therefore it is quite justified opinion of many adherents of the neurology classics about the unacceptability of manual therapy without clear indications and complete diagnosis.

By the types of exposure, manual therapy can be divided into two main groups:
– Tough (classical “bone-healing”) twisting, impulsive, shock manipulations;
– soft (painless effect, without terminal overload of the musculo-articular apparatus);
By locality:
– longlining (at the same time on several segments of the spine);
– short-rats (effect on one joint or segment of the spine);
There are two main methods in manual therapy such as mobilization and manipulation.
